6 Ways To Save Your Broken Makeup!

We all know how expensive makeup products can be which is why it’s very important for us to take good care of them (even when they break into tiny pieces). Throwing away broken makeup shouldn’t be a solution (unless you have tried to fix it already and it didn’t work at all). The main source of dealing with broken makeup is by accidentally dropping it on the floor (obviously, no one breaks their makeup on purpose unless it’s for snapchat..if you know what I mean? MAKEUP DESTRUCTION!) Honestly, watching those snaps makes me feel very angry like why would someone actually ruin their perfectly good looking eyeshadow palette just for Snapchat. Unless it’s a really old palette…BUT STILL!! WHY?! Oh well.

Dry Mascara

The easiest way to get your mascara working again is to add a few drops of your eye drops. Stir with the applicator and your mascara is good as new. You can also soak your mascara in a cup of hot water for about 7-8 minutes for a smoother and easier application.

Broken Lipstick

Is your favourite lipstick broken? Here is how to fix it:

Simply light a candle and use it to melt your broken lipstick using a spoon. As soon as it melts, pour it into an empty palette and let it cool. Now you have yourself a brand new lipstick palette.

You can also just take a lighter and burn your lipstick for about 20 seconds until it sticks together. Now your lipstick looks good as new.

Shattered Eyeshadow

It really sucks to have a very expensive eyeshadow palette or even a bronzer or a blush to break into tiny pieces. But that doesn’t mean that you should not do anything about it. To fix any shattered palette all you need to do is to add a few drops of rubbing alcohol. Use a butter knife or a flat object to flatten down and smooth the substance out. Let it dry overnight. You’re ready to use your eyeshadow again!

Another way to reuse your broken eyeshadow is to scrape out the remainder eyeshadow into a bowl. Grab white mascara and a funnel. Remove the wand from the mascara tube. Using the funnel, very carefully insert the broken eyeshadow pieces into the wand. Mix it well with the wand. You have now created your own new mascara (the colour of the mascara will depend on the eyeshadow colour).

Broken Brow Pencil

Did your one and only brow pencil just break? Stay calm! Here is what you need to do:

Take 4-5 pieces of cloves and light them up with a lighter. Blow out the flames, and rub the burnt end onto your brows. It works just like a brow pencil!

Dry Nail polish

Is your favourite nail polish dried up? No worries! Just add a few drops of nail polish remover and give it a good shake. Your nail polish is now ready to be used!

Dry Lipstick

To bring your liquid lipstick back to life, pour some hot water into a bowl. Drop your lipstick in and let it sit for about a minute or two. Carefully remove the lipstick out from the bowl. Your lipstick is nice and smooth again. You’re going to love the application!
